Club rules

River stretches

1. The close season fixed by law applies from 15 March to 15 June inclusive. Anyone found fishing in the close season will be reported to the Environment Agency.
2. All members must carry a valid Environment Agency rod licence when fishing or preparing to fish club waters, juniors under 16 included. Anyone without one will be asked to leave and may be reported to the EA and the police.
3. Anyone fishing club waters must carry their membership card, bought in advance (£35). Anyone without one, or refusing to buy one, will be asked to leave and may be reported to the police and the committee.
4. Juniors under 16 fish free but must fish the same swim as a fully paid-up member. Maximum one junior per member, and three rods between them. At all other times the limit is two rods per angler.
5. Rods must never be left unattended, not even while you sit or rest a few metres away.
6. If you are sleeping, your rods must be wound in.
7. Night fishing is allowed on all river sections, but not on the pool. Be considerate of local people, keeping noise and torches down near homes at night. Up to five nights are allowed on Pimley Manor.
8. Do not leave litter of any kind.
9. All members are expected to check the cards and EA licences of fellow anglers, and to ask anyone without them to leave. If they refuse, contact the Secretary or another club official straight away, so further action can be taken, including calling the police.
10. A member who finds another member breaking the rules must first ask to see their card, then ask them to leave the water. Send the card to the Secretary as soon as possible with an explanation, so disciplinary action can be considered.
11. Any member causing vandalism, defacing or removing notices or signs, leaving rubbish, litter or line, or lighting fires will be banned for at least 12 months. Fully supervised bonfires may be used by work parties to dispose of cuttings, provided they cause no nuisance to anyone nearby.
12. Any member who is violent, aggressive, or uses threatening behaviour or language towards another angler, water keeper or club official will be banned for life.
13. Any member causing other disturbance or nuisance to anglers or water users will be reported to the committee for disciplinary action.
14. Outside matches, keepnets may only be used for silver fish, such as dace, roach and gudgeon.
15. Unhooking mats must be carried and used for barbel, chub, bream and pike.
16. All rigs must be free running or safety rigs. Anyone using a "death" rig, one with a fixed lead that won't drop easily if a fish is lost, will be banned for life.
17. Wading is allowed, but you are responsible for your own safety at all times. Be considerate of other anglers.
18. All fish caught must be returned safely to club waters. Removing any fish without prior permission from the committee is not allowed.
19. Prince Albert members have the right to fish our bank of Preston Boats for salmon only, and may ask you to take your lines out while they make a maximum of three casts.
20. All members must follow any reasonable request from a club water keeper or other official.
21. Parking at Preston Boats: park only in the allowed areas, never on fields or crops, and be considerate of others. Driving down to the water is not permitted except in a life-threatening emergency or by the emergency services.
22. Driving along the bank at Pimley Manor is not allowed, except for permitted work-party and emergency vehicles.
23. Digging any platform is not allowed except during organised work parties, or with prior permission from the Head of Work Parties or Head Bailiff. Any member found doing so will have their fishing rights ended. Maintaining steps and cutting back overgrowth is encouraged, but check with them first.

Lords Pool

1. Fishing from 7am till dusk only.
2. No fires, barbecues, loud radios or other anti-social behaviour.
3. Maximum 2 rods.
4. Maximum of 10 anglers, except organised matches and events. Prebook by private message or text to the Club Secretary.
5. Fishing from marked pegs only.
6. Barbless or micro-barbed hooks only.
7. No fish over 5lb to be kept in keepnets, except in matches or organised events.
8. Park sensibly at the house, not in the field.
9. All landing nets, keepnets and unhooking mats must be dry on arrival. Dipping nets has been proven ineffective; ideally dry them in direct sunlight.
10. No member may reveal the location to anyone, including other members, without prior permission.
11. Be polite and courteous to the owners at all times, and follow any instructions they give.

All waters

1. No filming of any kind without prior permission.
2. Photographs may not be shared on any media that names the venue, except the members' forum.
